WA Training Options.

here in WA, you are not required to take any sort of class to obtain your CCW. Personally. I have some military experience, long history with guns. I have shot my pistol and practiced the draw, etc.

What are my options for courses/classes in washington state? I am always interested in becoming more fluent. What goods a pistol if you panic...none.

Any reccomendation for coursed in the NW? WA/OR/ID?

Just feeling out my options.

Insights Training Center is in Issaquah, WA, the wife and I took the general defensive handgun course done in PA last year and it was well worth the $$$

As JD suggest, Insights has good instructors. Their actual gun classes are out at Issaquah P.D. but they teach some classes (maintenance/armorer) classes at Wades in Bellevue. Wades does have NRA and NRA-like classes... for you they might be boring.

Just south there's the Seattle Firearms Academy, they are awesome. Their facility alone is worth the trip.

I think the YMCA has the Scream Blow the hell out of your Whistle and Run courses

They had to drop that. Too many criminals were suffering from hearing loss as a result of such violent tactics.
