I was thinking about using Winchester White Boxe in a 165 grain .40 S&W. Anyway, my local gun dealer said that I would regret using it for practice because it shoots really dirty. WWB is the cheapest ammo I have been able to find, but if it's not good for the gun I don't want to use it. Please give me some opinions on WWB and suggestions for other ammo that is betty but doesn't cost a pretty penny (WWB is $16.98 for a 100 round box at Wally World).

WWB is fine practice ammo...been using it for years without any problems at all. I don't think it's dirty, either...I've seen lots worse!
And Wally World has the best prices, too Did this dealer have some other brand he was pushing off on you?

Have to agree with Team American. Great practice ammo, best price at Wally World.

He didn't have anything that he was pawning off, but he did suggest some other ammo that was slightly more expensive. He suggest goin to cheaperthandirt.com. Thanks for the opinions, I think I'll stick with WWB.

I hate it, hate it, hate it. Don't like the way it feels, don't like the way it sounds, don't like the way it shoots, it's dirty, and did I mention I hate it?
Unfortunately, the price is right. Ugh. So I do have a few boxes, but I try to look for Remington on sale and just save my pennies to buy the good stuff. LibertyGal

I for one, no matter what ammo I am using, feild strip and clean my weapon after a trip to the range. It doesn't matter how dirty the ammo is, my weapon will be clean after being used.

I've never found WWB to be that dirty.
