Muzzleflash is something I check after ammo is reliable in platform and all mags, and checking for POA/POI.

I do want NOT muzzleflash , I want the least in the event low light/no light situations.

Remington seemed to the worst with a bone stock Gov't 1911 last time shooting in low light. Too many variables I suppose with platforms, and barrel lengths. Ammo lots vary too...

What's the purpose of the question ???

What is the purpose of the question ??? Most factory exotic self defense loads use flash suppressant fillers to avoid blinding muzzle flash at night.

Wonder cartridges such as Double Tap do NOT use flash suppressant fillers, therefore you get a nice blow torch out of your blaster at night.

Again, what's the purpose of the question ??

The UMC, or some of their better stuff? Golden Sabers seem to be one of the least flashy rounds I've fired. Never tried the low-end stuff in anything but full sun, though.

Now on a note aside from ammo if you want more flash get a shorter barreled gun for your CCW. Shot a .22 Mag derringer at dusk once, looked like a flame thrower with at least 3+' of fire.

Try some Taurus. I started a tree smoldering with it.

Don't know about factory ammo, but find out what kind of powder they use in Hollywierd and build your own. In the movies they produce blank ammo for maximum flash so it shows up well on camera. I'm sure you could cook something up at a reloading station for the best effect. I would think you could find a reload setup for a slow burning powder and use the shortest barrel length available.

Why you would want to make a big flash is a bigger question. (to draw return fire your way perhaps?) I'm all about light discipline myself, but hey, to each his own.

Winclean 185gr or Rem UMC 185 gr fmj. The Remingtons are in the green and white box, I haven't tried the yellow boxed ones.
Occasionally I will shoot an IDPA match with either of the above if it's going to get dark during the match. It's fun to see peoples reactions (especially the safety officer), when I start sending solar flares downrange with my 1911. I've got a vid clip of me shooting the Rems between two blue barrels and the Safety Officer leaning back away from me. You can hear her voice on the vid saying DAAAAAAYUM.
