Question I Say This Is BS - What Say You ?

I say that some gunsmith had an ordinary embarrassing careless "Whoops!" Negligent Discharge in his shop & this is the story that he concocted to cover it up.

What Say You Ammo Experts?

I saw this article too, and wondered how that would happen.

Unless the "residue" was a live round, I cant see any other way this could happen.

Also in the same article...the idea that you can do damage to any normal modern high quality rifle barrel (AKA Nick it or scratch it) by bumping it with a clean Carbon Fiber cleaning rod is also quite delusional.

would have to be a ******* a lot of powder wouldn't it? also it sounds kinda "suspicious" that they would mention that the rod was tight fitting in the bore. I guess they had to have some type of "explantion" as to why this most improbable event happened and also why a one in a trillion chance event warranted a written warning.

It sounds like somebody put the wrong caliber cartridge in the weapon.

It was probably something like putting a 9mm round in a chamber of rifle chambered for 30-06.

He should have looked in thru the breech before trying that trick.
