Well I too would like a reloaders subsection, but if the man don't want it. Maybe putting up a couple sticky's would be a good step in the right direction. Seems like we've had a whole lot of getting started reloading threads here recently. As for load data, that would be a good thing to put as a sticky in the reloader forum just noting that one should always start well within' published load data and work up comfirming lack of pressure signs.
Since the majority of the people here mainly reload practice pistol ammo, I don't think hotloading is gonna be a problem, If everyone else is like me I pretty much just drop charges that are right in the middle of published data for range rounds. Think HotGuns hit everything else pretty good. |

Then to be consistent with the stand, all reloading related threads should be deleted? Is that what you're saying?

I think it might be as good, if not better, to just move reloading threads.

How about having a stick with a warning WHEN POSTING DATA. Sure everyone can ask questions, have comments, and browse that forum - but if someone doesn't take the time to review data, then they have no business on that forum, and can be warned/banned.
Myself, I have an entire book on .300 Weatherby loads that has sources from all major ammo producers. I'd gladly share that and tell what loads I have personally tested. The firearms I own would certainly be the only that I would provide from - but I would love to see and comment on all others. There are reloading forums out there, but it would be nice to keep things simple by having everything on one site instead of two. Edit: The thing about reloading - it tells true shooters what firearms are the best. When I shopped for an upgrade from my old .308, reviewing handloads on a .300 Weatherby (and the 1000 yd competitions), groups, etc. are what led me to my purchase. The standard MOA and factory settings are not all that important if they can't be improved upon. |

+1 on the reloading sub-forum. There is another site that allows members to post their pet loads. A message appears at the bottom of the front page and the member is required to click "AGREE" to continue. That message simply states all entries will be reviewed by moderators and/or administrators before the load data is posted. "This will prevent wooden or soap bullets from being posted."
This would provide a safeguard against hot loads that deviate from acceptable published load data.

My husband and I are just getting started in reloading. A sub-forum for reloading would be very helpful.

I guessing this either is not going to happen or it takes a really, really long time to setup.
