Depends

In order of most frequently carried gun to least.

Glock 19, 124gr Hydra Shok in gun 124gr Gold Dot in spare mag.
Colt 1911, 230 gr Gold Saber, 230gr Gold Dot for spares.
H&K P7M8, 124gr Gold Saber in gun, 124gr Gold Dot spares.
S&W 610, 135gr Double Tap 10mm in gun and spares.
S&W model 15, 125gr Nyclad +P in gun, 125gr Gold Saber in spares.
S&W model 19, 125gr Cor Bon JHP, will carry Federal 125gr too.
Kahr MK40, 135gr Quick Shok, 155gr HST in spares.
S&W 37 (BBQ gun) 125gr Nyclad, rarely carry a spare with it.

My "always" gun:
Kel Tec P32 (BUG) Cor Bon .32 ACP in gun, rarely carry a spare but have Cor Bon and PMC JHP in spare mags if I do.

I carry the spare magazines of Gold Dot for increased penetration should I have to reload. If I am still shooting I like the option of a bonded bullet since I figure cover will be involved by then. In the .45 I will carry 230gr Hydra Shok if we are out of Gold Saber at the shop. I consider them both good loads. Same with Cor Bon or Federal in .357. just depends on what's in stock. In the 15 revolver I carry Gold Saber in speedloaders and speed strips because Nyclads are no longer in production and a soft lead or semi-jacketed bullet gets the tips beat up when carried. The Gold Saber is tougher.

Depends on which gun I carry.

In my .38 snubbie, I carry 135 gr. +p Gold Dot SB
In my .40 I carry Winchester Ranger 180gr. SXT, RA40T
In my 1911 I carry whatever 230 gr. .45acp ammo I want. Nothing specific.

9mm: Winchester Ranger RA9TA 127 gr +p+
45ACP: Remington Golden Saber 230gr or 185 gr. (What was available locally. Looks like I'm getting a Glock 21...so...we'll see what it likes. Am strongly considering DPX.)

That had been my duty and carry load in my duty Glocks since 2002. Now, that load is hard to find, and I just bought several different 155- and 165-grain loads to make sure my first P229 and my newer one will work OK with them, and see which I like best.

In .357, I have long used Federal silver box 125-grain JHP loads, though that load is starting to get tiresome through my lighter SP101 and Speed Six revolvers, so I now use the Federal stuff only in my heavier GP100 sixguns, and use the Winchester 145-grain Silvertips most of the time in my EDC revolvers. STHP also shoots better to point-of-aim in my fixed-sight guns.
To update, when I shoot Federal XM40HB, a 155-grain JHP, in my DA/SA P229, the gun seems to suddenly have radar guidance. This looks like my new carry load, at least in this particular P229. I will continue to use 165-grain Golden Saber in my DAK P229R until I can afford to verify its reliability with the Federal stuff. Both have been 100% reliable with everything tried thus far, but it is good to be certain, by test-firing every new load.
