I may of asked this before and forgot. Why do you use 185gr instead of 230gr.

I just now realized I haven't replied to this thread, and I'm not sure why. I guess it's past me by. EDC for all that see carry? Or for the 80% of the time carry? Well then----I mostly carry my G27 IWB (40 S&W) with 180gr Rem. Golden Saber. The G17 (9mm)sees carry in the cold weather OWB in the Fobus Paddle or Kramer 3-slot with Speer 124gr GDHP's. The SIG P220 (45acp) sees OWB carry occasionally under a jacket with 185gr Fed Hydra-shoks (installed) and the extra mag with Win. 230gr JHP P.P. The 'house pistol' G22 (40 S&W) gets 180gr Golden Sabers just like the G27. Why? I don't know---but that's what I got. Likely my new G19 (9mm) will get the 124gr Speer GDHP as well, but the jury is still out on that one.

Winchester 175 grain Silvertip hollowpoints for my Model 58. (To be fair, I carry an HKS speedloader with the 250gr Federal Castcore load intended for hunting on my person when carrying this revolver as well.) There simply isn't a lot of personal defense ammunition being made for .41 magnums these days.

In my Model 12-3 (BUG) I carry Remington's version of the old .38 special FBI load. I carry this gun pending obtaining a replacement pocket holster for my Glock 27. The Glock I've usually used Federal 155gr JHP - the ones out of the gray box as opposed to any of the premium loadings.

OK, I finally opened this thread and deduced what EDC means but am dumber than a box of rocks. What does it stand for?

At the office and don't have time to peruse each page.

Anyway I tote Winchester 158 grain +P SWC-HP in the .38 Special or Remington 230 ball in the .45 ACP.

Every Day Carry.
There are so many terms/abbreviations/expressions/etc., that I would be 'uncertain' of anyone claiming to know all of them - they would have to be obsessive at the very least

Stay safe,

9mm 124 Fed Hydra-Shok
I have seen what this round is capable of and I feel perfectly equipt with it. I know it will get the job done.

I carry them as well (.45 185gr Cor-Bon DPX +P) And that is as heavy as they come.

Since they are a solid copper alloy with no lead they are on the the light side in every caliber.

Or under the age of 18. At 4yr both my daughters could type faster than they could write and by 14 could text faster than they could talk.
