Question How many rounds......?

How many rounds do you usually go through in a range visit. I know this is kind of a broad question, but I'm just curious to see how much others actually shoot in a practice session. I usually go through anywhere from 200 - 300 rounds during a visit.

I think this in the right section, if not mods feel free to move it.

100-200, my ammo budget won't let me do more. I try to get out once a week and my budget allows a case every 6 weeks or so.

It depends what skill(s) I'm working on that day. If I am doing "one shot" drills from the holster then usually 100-200 rds. If I am doing full presentations firing NSRs and failure drills then 300-400. If I am working on multiple targets or movement drills - 400+. Understand that for the higher round count days I'm usually there all day due to repetitious dry fire practice before I actually begin shooting.

At least 100. Depends on how many guns I take with me to the range. Sometimes it is upwards of 300 in different calibers...until my wrists start to complain.

Usually 200-400 depending on the how much ammo I have stored at the house, and if anyone goes with me.

100-200. More than that and I experience diminishing return for the practice effort.

As of lately I've been going to the range two or three times a week. Each visit I go through 150 rounds.

It depends on how many I want to test that paticular day. I'm always looking for better reloads for my guns.

Depends upon the range. If at one of our local indoor ranges which require that you buy ammo from them, then usually 100 rounds, more then that gets pretty expensive. If at the outdoor range, which lets you bring ammo, then usually 200-300 rounds.

An average of 100-300 handgun rounds, including the use of pistol caliber carbines. But only an average 20-50 centerfire rifle rounds.
