Clear nail polish will work. Don't use too much, it can make a bulid up on the bolt.

one day i washed a kel tec p3at mag that was full of hydro-shok ammo. boy they sure did look good when they came out of the washing maching. took them to the range and they all went bang. so take them to the range and shoot them.
