I've got a partial box of 9mmP
super vel with a 90gr jhp.I've
thought about firing some but
seeing how old they are i'll
pass.

OLD SUPER VEL
I pulled a bullet from one of my old Super Vel .45 cartridges & the powder seems fine.
There is something going on with the Super Vel primers though.
They do not seem to have fared as well as the powder.
I would not trust mine for shooting.

I wouldn't shoot my Super-Vel gift as part of my daily carry loads, but I DO use it when I test out loads for that specific role. Gotta remember that modern ammo has a pretty long shelf life. In fact, I wouldn't call ammo dated from WWII that was well made by a manufacturer of the time, too old. True there do seem to be some primer issues with the Super Vels, but I think that's an abberration.
