The two PD's in my County and the County Sheriff's Office all shoot 40's. I know of one agency in the Valley that issue 45's, after that I am not sure.

The only police officer I had ever asked was just a couple weeks ago, and he said they carry Glock 40s.

I spoke to a NYC policewoman last month & she told me they carry Glock 9mm, with a .38+P/642 backup.
In the Myrtle Beach, SC area they use Glock 40 cal.

Up here the RCMP uses 9mm in SW 5946's across the country

The Provincial Police Act in British Columbia which covers off municipal plice forces require that they use .40cal, the majority carry Glocks, although the Vancouver police are replacing their Berretta 92's with Sig 226's.
