Question Find an article about the importance of checking your carry ammo

There was an article about the importance of checking your carry ammo that I read a few weeks ago but I can't find it.

In the article, it talked about a retired Chicago cop and he would meticulously check his carry ammo before he carried them. He would check his ammo visually, roll them on a smooth table and see how far they roll, use a scale to measure each rounds, etc.

Does anyone know the link to the article?

How about checking your range ammo. I went out shooting .38 spl today and when I tried to reload the cylinder, I found the new box of 10mm wouldn't fit.

Back when I still wore a badge, I would pull the barrel out of my 1911 and drop-test each and every round into the chamber to make absolutely positively sure they were right.
I didn't check OAL nor did I roll them on a smooth table top.

I was practising for a up coming match and was doing dryfire/reloads one of the mags was not staying in my Sig226 properly, turns out that it was for my CX4-Storm!! It loaded a dummy round fine, glad i caught that before shooting, must paint my mag bases!
