Thanks, Matt, I had been wondering about the minimum power threshold and was thinking that a .38 is above it but was not absolutely sure. I don't think I would carry anything less. But I think it is a good defensive weapon. Naturally I feel a lot better carrying my .357 just because of its capability. You feel differently when you carry the .357.

I bought my 340 PD for the weight,
not to shoot 357's in it.
The first 2 up are Corbon DPX 38+P's,
followed by 3 Double Tap 125 38 +P's.
The first 2 can be fired rapidly
and they warm you up for the next 3.
