Why are you so dead-set on them?
Not dead set on it. I just read that it is good ammo for a snubby...

In 1984 we carried IIRC I think they were like 145 grain or sumpin 357 magnum silvertips in our duty guns

Winchester makes the .38 special 110 grain non +P Silvertip hollow point for older guns not rated for +P ammunition.

I use it when I can find it for my wife's S&W 642 even though her gun is safe to use with +P ammo, the Silvertip is easier in the recoil department.

I'm not totally sold on the Plus P ammo. The research I've read on the 110 grain silvertips are pretty impressive, especially for a snubby.
I did get the silvertips...

I read a convincing report somewhere that suggested the Winchester White Box JHP 115gr 9mm are the same exact ammo as the Silvertip (in 9mm 115gr) only difference being the nickel plating. I can look up the article if there is interest. No idea about .38...
