Winchester Silvertip
I'm looking for the Winchester Silvertip 110gr JHP. I'm finding "HP" not the JHP. Whats the difference?

As far as I know, it will be the same thing (in the case of the Silvertip ammunition).

A JHP is a jacketed hollow point-that means a jacket usually of copper over lead. In the case of the Silvertip ammo, I believe the whole bullet is an alloy with no lead--hence it's just termed HP as a whole alloy hollow point bullet.

Winchester Silvertips are copper jacketed lead core bullets with a thin plating of nickle on the copper, hence the name.

My personal best with a Glock 19 was with 147 grain Silvertip.
5 rounds touching at 10 yds in rapid fire. That was a GOOD day, and I haven't been able to do it since. Silvertip doesn't get the press other stuff gets, but its good stuff. |

Silvertips are extremely expensive, nearly double the price of LE Ranger SXT.
Why are you so dead-set on them? |
