Outrageous prices for practice ammo??
I knew that metals were going up, and gas has put a hamper on all markets, but WOW. I went to wally world to pick up some .40sw shells, "anything but the Winchester stuff" I told the clerk. He grabbed some Remington and rang them up, 34$. I said nevermind I'll take the WWB.... 29 bucks out the door. I paid 19 for the same box 6 months ago! Did Wally really up the cost 50% in 6 months?? Where are you guys buying your practice ammo

I've been getting the WWB 9mm here for $18.42 at local WalMarts. I got a feeling that's fixin to change though. They had the UMC 250 round bulk packs a while back and I bought a box of 9mm, 40cal, and 45acp just a few weeks before they went up in price on those. I save all my brass, and I'm going to find out what the local recycling center is giving for scrap prices. It may be worth more than taking it to the local gun shop for reloaders. 9mm brass is in demand though. I separated about 1200 empty cases last night.

I paid $22 for a 100 pack of WWB at Academy last week. It was the first time I had bought ammo in a while since I had bought a whole bunch about 6 months ago. I need to get back to reloading!

Actually I have paid for all the equipment by money I would of spent over time buying factory bullets,my brass is free from the gun range where I shoot, and I cast my own bullets, and I buy bulk supplies my last order was 26 pounds of powder and 15,000 primers, when i figere cost of powder per grain and primer cost and bullet cost it's about 5 cents a round.Ammo prices will not get any cheaper and component prices are going up too.Primers have doubled in price in 10 years powder is about 25% more expensive.I have a friend that buys 100,000 primers at a time and cases of powder,he won't be running out of bullets if they try to restrict them

Get into reloading. You will be surprised what you save per round. Keep the brass you will reload. It is a great hobby and saves money.
