Blazer of WWB for range ammo?
I already have a bunch of WWB that I need to finish off but I'm considering some Blazer next time. Does it burn cleaner? Is it reliable? Am I splitting hairs here and should I just go with whatever is cheaper at the time?
This would be for 9mm, 10mm and .45.

I buy the box of 50 Blazer Brass at Walmart for around $9. They charge $11 for a box of 50 WWB. I've used plenty of both and I can't tell too much of a difference. The Blazer Brass seem to be a little bit dirtier but if you clean your firearm after every range trip, I don't think it'll matter too much.
I never had any problems with the Blazer Brass but last time I went to the range, I had a dud with the WWB. Loaded it back in and tried again with the same result. One out of thousands of rounds is not bad though. |

Whatever you do, save your brass or aluminum and recycle!

If the Blazer is the aluminum I would pass, just because I reload everything and prefer to be able to keep my spent brass. I have also found the Blazer to be very dirty.

WWB, but I pick up my brass, too.

I use Blazer aluminum and am quite satisfied.
I think right now it's the cheapest even with shipping.

I dunno if it burns cleaner, but I prefer Blazer Brass over WWB. I have opened a few WWB and found some rounds miscrimped, and I get more jam ups with WWB. Maybe its me, I just feel better with Blazer Brass.

Blazer or WWB for range ammo?
I find the blazer alu 10mm to be very good.
In the .45acp and brass cases I have recoil bullet pull worse than all other brands. I am using revolvers. |
