.357 recoil
I carry 110 SJHP's in my 2 1/2" Taurus 605. I know that 125's are the holy grail of 357. Is the recoil difference significant enough to warrant the lighter bullet, or should I just switch to 125's? Can anyone recommend something different?

It's not just the weight but the overall muzzle energy that matters. I like the 110gr. JHP by Winchester (Q4204) which is supposed to have about 410 ft lbs of energy. In comparison, the Remington UMC 125 gr. SJHP (L357M1B) is at about 583 ft lbs.

You wont know it untill you try it yourself.
If the heavier bullet shoots well and is accurate, it only makes sense to use the ammo with the biggest "punch" for a self defense weapon. Even so, a 2 1/2 barrelled gun probably wont match the published statistics which are generally used with a 4" barrel because you do lose some velocity with a shorter barrel.
