Remington .38 +P 158 gr. LSWC HP

I just received my order from Cheaper Than Dirt (very fast service) and this has nothing to do with them.
I ordered Remington .38 +P 158 gr. LSWC HP and the same thing by Winchester. My guestion for you is that the Remington ammo doesn't look like the bullet is seated far enough. The Remington ammo is longer than in other .38 that I have, but it does fit in the cylinder ok. I just don't know if the bullet will pull out of the crimp. I took pictures of the Remington and Winchester ammo, the Remington is the longer ammo. So my question goes out to anyone that has the Remington ammo, does it look right? So here is my police line up, the Remington is on the left.

I have used both, on duty and off, with very satisfactory results.
Never had any jump crimp.
As long as they don't protrude beyond the end of the cylinder, you're all set.

Based on chronographing & wetpack testing both out of J frame, the Rem is little faster and expands better. Never had any problem w/ crimp. The Rem is a little longer than Win. Don't know if Win bullet is seated deeper or just more "shoulder" on Rem bullet?

I use the Remington, and have never had them jump crimp either. I wouldn't hesitate to use them or the Winchester.

I have used both and the Remington has worked better for me. It was slightly better in the accuracy department, but it was waaaay less smokey and leadey (is that a word?) than the Winnie.

But the Win was certainly accurate enough to get the job done.

Hello. I prefer the Remington for the snub.

http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com/3...r%20LSWCHP.htm

I have had Remington ammunition seated both long and "normal" as is shown in your photos. I prefer the shorter though I'm not really sure why. Ammo seated long chronographed average velocities that were essentially the same as the ammunition having the shorter LOA, well within the variations of different lot numbers. I have never had the soft lead bullet unseat when fired in S&W's Airweight (aluminum-frame) line of revolvers. It is my understanding that it can in the lighter AirLite revolvers.

Best.
