Wow 180 posts. Who knew a thread I posted on a simple rumor from another site would draw so many posts? Sometimes these things seem to take on a life of their own.

Then again, the other side of that coins says: "Where there's smoke there's fire."

I live in Indianapolis and yesterday I was at Walmart and I noticed that they were almost out of all handgun ammo. They had NO .40 at all.

went to wally world today and over heard a guy ask about 9mm ammo, the guy behind the counter laughed and said he hadnt seen a 9mm bullet in so long he forgot what one looked like. felt bad for the guy.

they had a ok selection of .40 so i picked up a cheap box, so i left happy.

Some of this is demand increase but I was also told by two Wally World people that they have had customers coming in and buying huge quantities, buying up all they had and then some of these people were reselling at higher prices. Is this a case of simple demand or is there some hoarding and profiteering going on as well?

Honesdale Walmart has fully stocked shelves of everything 9mm, 45, and 38. Was just in there today buying shotgun ammo.

Stock is coming back in my area. It is hit and miss. You have to go by there every other day at least. Yesterday my brother in law said he was in the local gun shop and a guy was in there telling him he goes to walmart and if they have the shelves full he just buys it all.

Not reselling but hoarding.
