Let's see here...seems like someone I know gave this particular prediction about 8 months ago...buy more ammo now.
![]() Many people here thought it was an empty warning. ![]() I remarked to a fellow ammo buyer last night in Gander Mountain that with all the empty ammo shelves, you would think that someone was planning a war? He only commented, while shaking his head in the affirmative..."You could have something there." Stay armed...buy the expensive ammo (if that's all there is) now, later you may regret not doing so...stay safe!

I was at Wal-Mart Sunday around 6 PM. They had 5000 rounds of 9mm, 3000 rounds of .40 S&W. All Blazer Brass, nothing in Winchester. Nothing wrong with the Blazer, just have heard that Blazer is showing up, but the other ammo producers are still hard to find.
I'm still willing to believe it is just increase demand because of increased handgun sales, but then why is the .22 LR bulk running low?

Ok, here are the details. In my .38 Spl +P or if I carried a 9mm (it would be a +P), no doubt, JHP. Now, when I carry my G31 with two extra mags, I have a different plan. It is the gun I always take to the range. The two extra mags are loaded with FMJ. The mag in the gun is loaded: 1 FMJ, 6 SXT, 1 FMJ, 1 SXT, 1 FMJ, 1 SXT, 1 FMJ, 1 SXT, 1 FMJ, & 1 SXT. My 1st round, the in the barrel round is a FMJ, because this is a round I replace every time I go to the range. I do this as a matter of practically. The next 6 rounds are SXT. I agree the JHP / SXT is the more effective SD round. However, by the time I get to the 7th round, I am dealing with a funfight I might want rounds with penetration. Once I up to the 16 round, or the 31st round, I'm not sure it will matter what type of round of .357 Sig I have used, that is going to be one rare non-LEO SD situation. Now one reason the spare mags are FMJ, is because I'm lazy and cheap. When I go to the range, I use up these two mags, and life is made a little easier if they are already loaded. It also create a good FIFO system for my ammo.

Ammo
We have plenty in Wisconsin, however that is only due to our Governor being anti 2nd amendment and people are afraid to go out and shoot for recreational or practice for CCW purposes they may be chastised for thier beliefs. Its a sad state of affairs in Wisconsin and Illnois.
One day people will wake up and realize maybe we should adopt CCW and drop our crime rates, and on and on and on. Sorry am very frustrated, however I can't wait to raise some hell with some Legislators in Madison, I need answers and want results. ![]()

Ladies & Gentlemen;
Please list the specific location of the Wal-Mart you mention. That way,if you left any ammo,other forum members can find it. Posts that say "four million rounds in stock"but no city,state or store address are absolutely useless. Thank You

I'm going to keep on the lookout around here for 357 SIG. I had originally bought the Glock 19, but it was so backordered they couldn't give me a delivery date, so I snagged the 32 instead. I'll give Walmart a look if I get enough time on the way home from work today.

You might get luckly with the .357 Sig. Rare enough that people don't grab it all, popular enough Mal-Mart carries.

Well I didn't find any at Walmart this time around, but I found 124gr Hornady JHP/XTPs in 357 and managed to grab 100rds for $80 online. I found a decent amount of target ammo available online, but I think I'll hold out for target ammo from Walmart to save on the shipping. Looks like the 357 SIG was a good way to go after all!

The last time I was in Walmart they had 40 caliber and were limiting sales at 2 boxes per person. There were only five boxes left
