Walmart will be crazy not to sell ammo...especially because it is the fastest moving consumer good that gets sold out in a few hours everyday. Unless Walmart management did a press release to that effect, I wouldn't beleive anyone else. I am going early next Thursday to see if I can get some .45 acp ammo there.

One of the several Wal-Marts here in Fayetteville had 20 boxes of 9mm on the shelf in the afternoon hours. They normally don't stock ammo until 10-10:30pm. There was no other pistol ammo, alot of rifle ammo. Too bad I need .40 to shoot.

Here's to hoping that they'll get some .40 soon!!!

It's not just Walmart that is out of ammo. A lot of other on line stores advertise but are out of stock.

well I've been getting some 30-30, .22lr, and some .223 on/off at my WMs over the past couple weeks

Academy actually had a good supply of .223 so I got some of it and some more 00/slugs; they also now have a huge increase in the stock of handguns on display, its been pretty sparse until this past weekend, the case if full again.....they have a SP101 with my name on it

I broke down and bought 1250 rounds of 9mm online so I can have some practice ammo.

Our dept has ceased giving us 50 rounds a month to shoot due to the supply problems AND our ammo budget has been cut by 20%
so we're on our own for ammo now

Two days ago, we got in 15 boxes of 9mm, 40, and 45. We got 6 boxes of 44 and 4 boxes of 357. It's the most handgun ammo I've seen in months. Today, all the 45 is gone, the 9mm is down to about 4 boxes, and all of the 40 is still sitting there.

I left it all for you guys. I'm OK with what I have for pistols.

But I did snag 5 boxes of 30-06 and some 223.
