Yesterday while doing my normal check of the ammo shelves at Wally World, the shelves were pretty much empty and I was about to walk away, when something caught my eye............

In the cabinet on the top shelf right corner in the shadows, I saw the a 100 round value pack of Federal .223 rem for $39.97, so I grabbed it and low and behold there was another one behind it, so grabbed it too and to my surprise one more behind that one.

A good day at Wally World.

Our local WW, in Sierra Vista AZ has stocked all the shelves that used to hold pistol and rifle ammo with BB guns.

The Clerk that always works that section will not any questions “If it is Temporary or not.?”

They still have shotgun shells and firearms

Similar situation here. The shelves that held pistol ammo now has BB guns, airsoft crap, GPS, etc. Still has rifle ammo (nothing common, of course) and shotgun ammo. No 22lr. I wouldn't care, except the on line retailers either have no ammo or jacked up their prices so high it's absurd.

It is slow going, but I think ammo is starting to returm. It still goes plenty fast, but at least I know it is starting to end. I have been able to find .357 Sig. What looks like what is going on (even say at Bass Pro) is tey are getting an order in of .38 Spl, .44 Spl, .357 Mag, .44 Mag, 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 Sig, and .45 ACP. At Bass Pro (MI) I even noticed .32 ACP. Still yet to see .380 ACP.

I'm getting lucky with the .357 Sig, because it is not quite as popular, so by the time I get there, there are still a fer boxes left, while the othr calibers have been all but sold out.

So I share all of this just to say, I think things are starting to get there. We will see.

I'm in Clarkesville, TN for a few days. WM here has a few boxes of 38, 357, 357 sig, and 9mm. Also quite a bit of .45 acp. They have had some on the shelf for the past two days.

I spoke with the gun department WalMartian in Kalispell and he said he gets ammo every morning, but it basically disappears every day. he said he has never seen anything like it.

Found ammo at Walmart for the first time in months, yesterday. I picked up 6-100 rnd. boxes of Win USA for $19.97 a box. They limit to 6 boxes of anything and I didn't want to be greedy so I didn't go back and left the other 500 rounds. They also had a few hundred rounds of Rem. 115 JHP in 100 round boxes for $23.97. They had a small selection of .40 and .223 but no .45 at all. Sold out in the morning. Sure was nice seeing normal prices for a change.

Spoke with a Wal-Mart sporting goods manager today. She informed me that Corporate HQ has stated that ammo supplies are supposed to be back up around 8 July. She said that Wal-Mart should be back to being close to fully stocked around that time.

Not sure how much water that holds, but I'll keep my fingers crossed, won't hold my breath though.

Not just Walmart. I drove 80 miles one way today to Outpost Armory (Barrett's outlet store) to pick up some .38 Special range ammo, any brand. None to be found, wasted trip. There was all kinds of other ammo, but no .38 special. Lots of .223 and 7.62X39, so assault rifles are covered, just can't find anything for a pocket .38 Special. After this next range visit I am down to firing my carry ammo (And then have NO ammo) or just shoot the .22LR. Don't try to explain the logic, there is none.

Tonight certain radio personalities will probably tell everybody they are after the BB guns and BBs will be impossible to find for the next 6 months!
