Went to Walmart in Fresno, CA. Found there were 6 boxes on the shelf, Winchester 40 S&W - bought a couple. Price was $29 a box of 100.
No 38 though.

In the Wal Mart's around here they have put a six box limit on your purchase, and they still can't keep ammo in stock! I have found a few online ammo sources for a reasonable price so I have stopped looking at Walmart for a supplier.

reason is why there's a shortage.. people bought up the ammo
thinking obama will take our guns away wrong, congress has to be the one

I wish I could stop posting these emails. Stopped in Walmart yesterday and thought I would pick up some ammo. Surely the shortage is over by now. Nothing, nada, zilch. Hmmmm.

They allowed me to have 2 boxes yesterday. Now I can go to the range and actually shoot my pistol.

I got so tired of not being able to find 9mm ammo when I want it that I bought a set of reloading dies. Never did that before becuase it costs as much to reload it as it does to buy it, but since I can't buy it I fugured what the heck.

well, guess what, I can't find any 9mm bullets to load either. They are backordered everywhere.

Guess I'll just keep shooting my revolvers and rifles until some come in.

I was able to get 6 50-rd boxes (the limit) of Blazer Brass 9mm FMJ at my local WM a few weeks ago, about $9 ea. Then, a few days ago, I was able to get 5 boxes of WWB 100-rd 9mm FMJ for about $21 ea, plus a 550-rd brick of .22LR (Federal FMJ, not the cheap lead bullets) for about $14.

Spent way more on ammo than I wanted to, BUT they had it, and it was much cheaper than my local range (my range charged $11.50 for one 50-rd box of .22LR!!!). You have to grab it when you can find it, I suppose.

I haven't fired my Glocks in months, since I only had a few boxes of ammo left. I now feel like I can afford to practice a little.

I also bought an Advantage Arms .22 conversion for my G19 a long time ago - glad to have it now! That gives me another option for practice.

Of course, this is one reason there is a shortage - I never kept more than 3 boxes of WWB on hand - now I have 8, plus the 6 boxes of Blazer. Multiply that by every shooter out there...

I saw Remington UMC 40 Cal JHP (180 gr) for the first time this year in Wal Mart and I had to scoop them up of course. $30 for the 100 round value pack. They only had one box. I think it was a good score.

i picked up 2 boxizz of AE 9mm @ WW yesterday. he said 2 was all the handgun ammo he would sell me even though they have a 6 item limit. i told him i shoot more than that with 1 trip to the range. told him they olny have ammo about every 4 trips i make to look for it. he didnt care. this and another store i shop @ have an attitude, like your doing something wrong or they are upset because your trying to buy ammo. maybe they are upset because their buddy that they called didnt make it in to buy it all up so they can sell it @ the gunshow for triple the price?

makes you wounder how i saw the range owner and his employees empty his trunk of doxes and dozens of BB in WW bags.

***!

WW= not worth the waste of time!
