Last time I was at my local WW, the ammo shelf was fuller than I'd seen in a while. They even had 9mm, which I hadn't seen there for months.

It's not just Walmart. We have two wars that have been going on eight years now, and frankly I'm not surprised. I'm thinking about taking up reloading.

How we behave as gun owners is important. Posturing and threatening does not serve us well in the public eye.

I was able to find five boxes of 45acp (100 round WW) while vacationing in Michigan the past couple of weeks.
IMO, it does seem that things may be loosening up just a little on the ammo front.

I went to WW in SE michigan this morning and picked up 4 boxes of 40 S&W 180gr.
Price bump up $1.20 but they always seem to have 40's but no 9mm or 45

Wal-Mart around Topeka is still hit and miss. Mostly miss. Once in a while they have some 9mm or .40 or .45. usually very little and it don't stay long.

Still plenty of hunting rifle ammo though. They have been heavily stocked for a year, since the crunch came and they over ordered and hunting rifle ammo doesn't fly off the shelves like handgun and .223 & 7.62x39 does.

Now they are getting in shipments for this hunting season, so the shelves are pretty much stacked to overflowing with rifle ammo. They even have some oddball stuff like 6mm Rem and 6.5 Swede. I even picked up a couple boxes of 7mm-08, which you don't find in most Wal-Marts.

Even so, handgun ammo is still hard to come by. but I'm making my own now so I don't care. Even though it costs just as much to make 9mm ammo as it does to buy it at WW, at least I darn well have it when I want to go to the range. I started reloading to save money.(which is why I never used to reload 9mm) I never thought I'd see the day where I'd have to reload to be able to get ammo, but alas that day is here.

Even with the limitation of 6 per, local WalMarts around me are still hit or miss. Better then a few months ago, but by now, would not have tought it would continue.

Today, I gave up on my local WalMart having any pistol ammo. So I went to a local Dick's Sporting Goods and picked up a 250 round Remington Mega Pack of .45acp. I feel so much better now knowing my new Kimber CDP II has some food to eat.

At my local WalMart tonight with the family and thought I'd stroll by the ammo case. One box of .45 WWb and one box of .40 Federal. Still not getting better in PA.

My local Walmart had been doing ok with a trickle of handgun ammo coming in (one caliber one week, another the next), but for the last several weeks, nothing at all for Hanguns.
