Anybody use the TAP-FPD in 9mm yet. I see alot of use in 45. But curious if any has tried 9mm yet. Im interested in the 124 gr. Just wondering how good and accurae this round might be. Thanks for the time all Sixgun

Hello. Yes, I've fired a bit of it through a couple of 9mm Browning Hi Powers. The TAP I used was before they came out with the dark cases.

It is my understanding that the 9mm TAP load uses the standard XTP bullet and for me, this ammo went to the usual 1.5 x caliber very regularly in various test media.

I have found about any load in 9mm (or .45 ACP) that uses XTP bullets to be accurate, better than average much of the time, and sometimes it shoots like match ammo.

I have no idea about flash or the lack of it.

Average velocity was 1143 ft/sec.

Best.

Thx for adding that info Steve - I hope to try out and test some TAP one day for myself, but meantime am still very confident with my 124 GD's - my own tests on those thru the R9 were most satisfactory.

I just wanted to echo Mr. Camp's sentiments about the XTP's accuracy.
I have yet to find a more accurate JHP.
