How about the .40's?

Well gang, I think we have covered the 9mm pretty good. So lets take it up a notch. What are you carrying in your 10mm? Or how about what you got stoked in your .45? I think the .45 will out number the 10mm.......or maybe the .40 S&W will . Your thoughts ......

In my limited knowledge of handgun calibers, I like the 40 cal. I carry a SW40VE and love it. Although, accuracy seems to be just below great.
I have had great aim under 20 ft. at the range, but any longer than that and it really takes a dive. Most could be contributed to user error and barrel length.

Don't have a 10mm but if I did I'd try Hornady and Double Tap.

.40 S&W I'm still stuck on 165 grain Golden Sabres

.45 ACP, my XD seems to like Winchester SXT standard pressure 230 grain loads so that's what I'm using at the moment, may try Golden Sabres next

Duty S&W 4006 is loaded with 185gr Federal Hydrashoks because that is what the state issues to me.

My personally owned Glock 27 is loaded with 155gr Speer Gold Dots simply because that is what was available when I made my purchase.

I like my HK USP .40. Seems to handle all kinds of weight grn and loads. typically I carry hdroshocks or Gold dots. in the 180 or 165 grn. I don't notice much POI/POA diffrence between the loads.

I carry Winchester SXT's in my duty Sig because they are free...

In my 40.239 Sig its Win SXT's because they are free also.

If Sig HAD a 10mm, Id buy it in a heartbeat. Preferably double stack.

.40 I carry Corbon Pow'rBall. And also Federal Hydroshocks. I don't remember the weight. The powrballs are kinda light and the HSs are a little heavier (heavier choice in the store when I bought them)

In my .40 S&W's I carry Speer 165 grain Gold Dot JHPs....it's what my agency issues.

In 10mm, I currently carry Double Tap Ammo's 165 grain Golden Saber JHP....it's accurate, plenty controllable and fast!

In .45 ACP, I currently carry a standard velocity Remington 230 grain JHP only because I find it easily enough at Wally World and shoot lots of it.
