I would agree but one Walmart here in Vegas will have empty shelves...then one 5 miles away has almost everything in stock. Hit or miss...but still definitely crazy!

I purchased some Wolf .223 from a gun shop in Atlanta today for my Mini14 for 7.49 a box/20. I think it worked out to around 37 cents a round. Like 2 months ago this was going for almost a dollar a round.

Im gonna pick up some M193 tomorrow. I hope the prices are competitive or better being there is tons more milspec ammo made than civilian to my knowledge.

That's what I'm saying. When WalMart has stable, ongoing supplies, we'll probably be able to find many folks everywhere who can see things are better. Until then, we'll have what's going on now ... hit or miss.

I just found out that Walmart is highly supporting Obama's Antihealthcare as we know it and go social plan. I recommend we no longer support walmart if we are true conservative gun owners. Get your ammo else where. Let their shelves stock up with the stuff. Not a boycott but I would hate to look at my shelf full of ammo in my ammo safe and realize I supported the growth of govt and the downfall of capitalism.

Is it due to being a highly popular round amongst small gun lovers or the inability for factories to mass produce as much of it?

Oh with our troops pulling out now maybe milspec surplus m193 will be available and also make all ammo prices drop. The bulk of income for big dawg ammo companies is the war right now but soon will have to shift back to the civi market.

Our dollar is the best its ever been against the US Dollar yet the prices of primers and projectiles continue to climb each month

Primers have gone from $38 to $57US per 1000 in the last 2 months
9mm CMJ Projectiles from $73 to $80US per 1000 in the last 2 months
