I'm not an engineer,
but it seems the Speer bullet could use some updating." Speer bullet pictured is a few years old.. It has a cavity the size of the famous FLYING ASHTRAY. As far as I know it is a generic and Speer saw its shortcomings and fluted the jacket after finding that the bullet did expand but tumbled dramatically. I have recovered several from water jugs (Colt 1911 5") and they all had expanded greatly but it seemed the expansion was lopsided. bosco |

I carry this ammo in my Sig P220R, and couldn't be happier. I have carried other loads and from other manufacturers, but once I found this, I haven't changed since. This feeds flawlessly in my gun, and shoots accurately. I like it's balistics on paper, thank goodness I've never had to shoot anything other than practice. But I trust them completely.
Here are a few pics of what I carry.

The "FLYING ASHTRAY" has been a LEO standard for DECADES. I have some of the originals back from the 70's and 80's. Still good and I'd trust my life to them in a second. A range owner is usually a BUSINESSMAN FIRST So, what's he trying to sell you?

As far as conventional loads for the 45 go (I carry MagSafe & RBCD, but that's just ME) I like Golden Saber and Hydra-Shok in the 185gr range. I do have like 500rds of the old Black Talon laying around somewhere. I heard they act like kryptonite on Baby Blue Helmets, but I haven't tested that....yet.
