A recent copy of the Cheaper Than Dirt catalog offers 50 BMG Armor Piercing ammo. I thought armor piercing was off limits to we the people?

I figured all 50BMG was armor piercing even though it can be used for lesser purposes? Makes big holes or makes human heads disappear.

The black tip stuff has a steel core IIRC and labeled Armor piercing,it has been known to penetrate 1.5" mild steel at 100 yards,They also make an API round (Armor Piercing Incendiary)
