Quietest .22 ammo for 25 yards?

I am looking for the quietest subsonic .22 ammo out there. I will only need a range of about 15-25 yards.

They will be fired out of a Browning Buckmark (6in barrel). I know they won't cycle...

I am looking to take out small pests near the house without unnecessarily disturbing the rural neighbors. The nearest house is about 250 yards away.

Thanks!

Try CCI CB's.

I've used them for your intended purpose in the past in a rifle.

I've only in long, not long rifle, but you could still try them.

They are QUIET!!

Aguila makes some mighty quiet rounds. I don't know about accuracy to 25 yards from a six inch barrel though. Probably OK in a single shot rifle.

That wouldn't be legal to discharge a gun withing a 1/4 mile of the house,... You may just get a pellet gun and use that for the critters,.. (At lease in Arizona that is the law)

I second the pellet gun. A .177 pellet at 1,000 fps will take care of just about any pest smaller than a possum with a head shot.

2nd choice would be the CCI CB caps.

60 grain .22lr subsonic. They are monster bullets, but are fairly quiet...

Cabela's -- Aguila .22 LR Sniper Subsonic 60-gr. Ammunition with Dry Box - Per 500.

not cheap...

It is a .22 not a .357, if you don't need ears to fire them, I say fire them.

250 yds is a long way.

Great replies!

Money is a bit tight right now but otherwise the pellet gun would be a great idea. My neighbors occasionally fire a few rounds here or there so I don't think it would be a problem. (I am not actually sure about the law in KY though.)

I didn't mention it in the original post but I might try them in my Marlin 60 - I am aware there is the potential for them to get stuck in the barrel.

I have heard of the Aquila .22s. What's the "CB" round like? I have never heard of these.
