Why the 45

First post here so it's just my opinion!
I carry a 45 because that's what I own and don't have the money for an arsonel!
It goes bang when I pull the trigger and if I do my part it hits what I aim at.
We are not all the same, that's why there are so many different guns. I don't want to get hit with any of them.
Use what you got and what you can hit with!!

Interesting article and poll on this subject where 800 officers voted for their "off-duty" carry caliber and chose .40 over 9mm 2 to 1.

The poll is a year old. I'd be interested to see if the figures hold up today - especially his prediction for the .45 GAP.
