Does anyone carry Hornady LeveRevolution ammo?
Pretty much .357 Critical Defense, right?

you should posted a poll....been easier to keep track of.
But to answer your questions on my Colt Magnum Carry snubby it would be the Remington Golden Sabre.
Why that round, because that was the first hollow point I bought for it.
Any round shot from any 357 magnum will leave a damaged trail a foot wide and a mile long, if not from bullet placement, then from the huge blast from the sound waves tearing stuff up and burns from the muzzle blast.
The 357 mag is a CANNON!!!

Actually, the Remington 125-grain Golden Saber .357 mag is a down-loaded milder magnum. It seems Remington does not post its ballistics tables on its website any more, but I recall the .357 Golden Saber as being loaded to 1250 FPS, rather than the more usual 1400+ FPS you will get from a full-pressure 125/.357, even that loaded by Remington itself. This makes the .357 GS a better choice for many folks using .357 mag in lightweights and snubbies.

This also means the .357 mag Golden Saber is a bit milder than your average 357 SIG, too, FWIW.

They do, but you have to look for it.

Remington.com - Products - Ammunition - Ballistics

The bottom of the page has pull down menus for both rifle and handgun ammo.

They list the 125 gr GS at 1220/413. Their heaviest load is the 165 gr Core-Lokt at 1290/610.

The 125 gr UMC and Remington Express are both listed at 1450/583.

I use the Remington Golden Sabre 125 grain BJHPs in my Ruger SP101 .357 magnum with a 3 inch barrel. True, this load is sort of mid range and does 1180+ fps out of my Ruger, yet it is very controllable and still very effective for self defense.

I went shooting out at my usual desert spot this morning....shot up a bunch of .38 Special wadcutters that I reloaded last week, and about a dozen or so SD rounds....this was the first time I shot the Buffalo Bore .38's out of my Taurus 85UL.....yikes....a little on the "stout" side.....but I love using them in my other heavier .38's. I recommend them for carry ammo....I use them in my Chiefs Special and my .357's often.

has anybody figured out what a BG will do after the blast 3 feet away with full power load from a snubby will do to his thinking of robbing this guy. it has got to change his idea of an easy target, right! even if you don't hit your intended target, maybe it will blow his eyes apart or something like that! just something to laugh at.
