Per Speer, the only Gold Dot SB not recommended for the 357 is the 110 Gold Dot SB. I think the 135 Gold Dot SB is a better choice for 357 because loaded down and still give good expansion and and penertration or loaded up and still perform as intended. That being said alot of people in the know still swear by the 158g lead bullet.

wjjmlg, I can vouch for the effectiveness of the aformentioned caliber, have seen the end results of .357 rounds used on a human being. Not pleasant, so I won't go into details.

I carry a 2 1/2" S&W 686, personally I'd never carry .357 for SD....Way too much flash bang whallop! Not to mention the hearing damaged!!
