Hot 9mm flatpoint ?

Does anyone know of a company that makes a hot 9mm flatpoint for an animal stopper?thanks. sj

9mm animal stopper.
Much depends on exactly what specie of animal you are wanting to stop.
Kinda of a flat heavy JHP. Good penetration.

You best bet would probably be the original Winchester 9mm Black Talon Supreme 147gr nickel case
& 9mm Luger BLACK TALON Deep Penetrator Winchester 147 GR. SXT Ammo.

You can probably find it on Gunbroker. It's usually $$$ though.

Do you mean a FMJ-Flat Point? If so, Winchester WinClean has that profile, but it is standard pressure. Should still give good penetration, though.

Black Hills has a 124XTP +p load that does 1240fps in my 4" 9mm. It doesn't expand (.55 in denim covered wetpack) as much as many jhps but it does penetrate more. Not a bear load. $33/50rds @ Midway or Cabelas.

The OP needs to find out if his handgun is rated for +P+ ammo.

It will be for a glock,either a 19 or a 26.

FYI - Pros suggest not running a BHP on a steady diet of +P+ 9mm. There's only 2 locking lugs. You can, however, put a (custom 3 lug) 9mm set-up on a .40 BHP...and run the 9mm +P+ snot out of it.

You can run +P+ in any Glock.
