Thanks for the new information. It didn't change my mind however.

Gratz on deciding for yourself!

9mm in the right hand and a .45 in the left.

Problem solved

As others have said, and it's in my sig, caliber doesn't matter if you can't hit your target.

Yes, a gun is a weapon. But the danger comes from the mind attached to the trigger finger.
Caliber doesn't matter if you can't hit your target.

Don't mind reading caliber wars, as long as they have some factual information as did this thread. My mind is never closed, who knows, someday I may be convinced into owning a 45.

Wink

As 10thmtn has just discovered...you need to develop a thick skin on this forum.

Especially when folks start buttering up the popcorn on you.

BTW: Which caliber penetrates THICK SKIN better 9mm or .45 ?

Come on now guys now everyone here knows that the 9mm is a useless cartridge,oh and it takes like 16 rounds to even make someone notice they've been shot. So everyone here can just sent me all of their 9mm ammo and guns chambered in this useless caliber.

5.7x28mm SS192 does the best job.

This should be fun.

Seriously, I agree with Janq. Goliath laughed at David's caliber of personal defense.

Keep safe, carry what you are comfortable with, and make the world a better place.

As for me and my house, we will carry 9mm for CC and use the .40 for HD if the 12 gauge is somehow unavailable.
