Dont forget the legal ramifications of the ammo you use. A anti-gun prosecutor could have a field day if you use some "exotic" ammo that they will call cop killers or some other nonsense.

And as I have said....they do as advertised.......assuming you hit your target anyway......and are a great round for apartment living.

No, they don't, they won't get the penetration in tissue you need to be effective...and the punch through almost as much drywall as a standard JHP round. If you hit your target with a good JHP, it's not going to be going through multiple walls...odds are, it stops in the target.

They are a horrible round for self defense, period, and are pretty much relegated to mall ninja and food court commando use only.

Prolly not. Simply because I DON"T KNOW what is behind my target.

So, frangable rounds DO have their place..... and with anyone who KNOWS about SD...... you have to have lots of tools in the tool box......a hammer just won't work in every case. Just as you have multiple weapons for multiple scenarios, you are allowed to have multiple rounds for multiple areas of carry.
Nothing wrong with a mag of frang. for home and a mag of HP for elsewhere.......... IF that is the scenario you live in.
And I would question anyone who thought HPs or slugs, or 00buck would be thier round of choice for just such an enviroment. So there you have it.......
Diff rounds for diff scenarios......

As i have already stated....... and stand by my previous post.......
I would challange anyone to give me 3 rounds in 2 seconds of the frangable ammo.....anywhere I could hit......and you would be free to draw your weapon of choice to shoot back...... and I'm sure that with the under penatration issue, you have NOTHING to worry about.... right?

I'm sorry that this seems harsh, but again, ANYONE who thinks slinging a standard round....let alone a clip or two, in an apartment complex, is pretty dang irresponsable in my book......and part of being a gun owner and person willing to sling lead to protect our person or family, must ALSO be protective of innocent bystanders. And if underpenitration and extra rounds are required, so be it. What good is the protection of your family if you kill innocent persons around you....your no better than the BG in the first place....... JMHO & .02!

Be protective, be accurate, and be RESPONSABLE!! My father in law shot at an intruder 7 times!! The intruder shot 4 times. Only one bullet hit! The reality is....your gonna toss some lead & it will NOT always hit!! In ANY situation you have to aware of what is around you. Penatration is a great thing.......unless it in the 5yo next door.......

This forum and the members are the best no doubt. And when I step in it, I'm more than proud to carry it home on the bottom of my shoes and wipe it off on the carpet where the smell will last even longer. I appreciate this place more than some will ever know.
