Hello and thanks very much.

ExSoldier: I don't know why Federal discontinued their Nyclad line of ammunition. As you mention, their standard pressure 125-gr hollow point expanded pretty nicely from the snub. I also had good luck with their 9mm 124-gr. Nyclad hollow point.

Best.

I'm not an ammo guru so forgive me if this is a stupid question. But wasn't the Nyclad 9mm what was used during the Miami shootout? If so, perhaps that led to them dropping that line. Not that it was an ammo problem from what I understand, but perception can be reality.

Stephen,
1st class as usual. Thank you very much for the info, I have some of the Federal Nyclad ammo but have switched all the snubs to the Speer Short Barrel ammo. Safe shooting and God Bless.

The more I carry my Taurus 85, the more I feel inclined to sell my BIG pistols, and buy another Snubby. This time the hammerless version.
They are just so sweet to carry... I carry mine while riding my motorcycle in my nemesis holster in my front pocket. I forget its there at times....

Artz...that is the same problem I have. I know you should not carry for comfort but protection. However, my 37 SW is just to easy to carry. I was considering going with a smaller .45 caliber pistol, but I am thinking hard on going with another revolver snub.

I carry the Speer load in my M37. For whatever reason, my M37 shoots VERY high with 158gr loads (5"-6" at 10yds), so I can't use the 158gr LSWCHP, but the Speer 135gr load is dead on. It's also more accurate than the heavier loads. I compared it to the WWB 125gr SJHP that walmart carries. Accuracy is about the same as is POI, but the WWB SJHP has much more flash. That alone was the deciding factor to go with the Speer load.
