Ayoob Sig Sauer Book

If you are a SigSauer fan check out The Gun Digest Book of Sig Sauer written by none other than Massad Ayoob. I picked it up to today at my local Border's Books. It covers every pistol in the modern day Sig line as well as defensive techniques, shooting, and maintainence. It is a 256 page Sig Bible in my opinion.

Heard of it but not seen.

I have a feeling someone here has it - Bud White perhaps. Maybe I should seek out a copy.

Yup! It's been out for (I think) better than a year. It would be really nice to see it updated every couple of years since SIG has come out with some new stuff since the book was published.

It is a great and interesting book though.

Doc, Bud did his review in May and I ordered the book based on his review. My last post in Bud's thread threatened another review from a different angle than Bud's, but after reading the book I determined that Bud had covered all the angles. I agree that it is a great resource for SIG owners. Ayoob turns the various SIGs every which way but loose. Like others on both Bud's thread and this one I really would like to see an update. SIG has released a number of new models that I would like to see review in the same manner as Ayoob used in this book.

Sigs really tempting me to spend some more money. They really have produced some very usefull pistols lately.

I do like the book alot, enough that I would also love to see an updated version. I bought my first sig about a year ago, and within a week I found the book. Massad Ayoob did a great job at hitting every point that someone new to sigs should know.

This may have been mentioned before, but this book and many of the books mentioned in this forum can be found on www.half.ebay.com Some are new, some are used, but the prices are usually good. I found out about half.com when my daughter started to college. I saved about 55% off the cost of all her college books. All were delivered in a timely manner and in good condition. If you are like me, any $$ saved can be spent for more important things - like guns and ammo and guns and...

My wife got it for me for my last b-day. How very sweet of her.

I can't look at the thing without my bank account getting all nervous like.
