Bob The Nailer Is Back

Stephen Hunter is just out with a brand new Bob Lee Swagger novel titled Night of Thunder.

Excerpt from the dust jacket:

"Woe unto him who crosses Bob Lee Swagger, especially when his daughter's life is at stake. Forced off the road and into a crash that leaves her in a coma, reporter Nikki Swagger had begun to peel back the onion of a Southern-fried conspiracy bubbling with all the angst, resentment, and dysfunction that Dixie gangsters can muster".

"An ancient, violent crime clan, a corrupt law enforcement structure, gunmen of all stripes and shapes, and deranged evangelicals rear their ugly heads and will live to rue the day they targeted the wrong man's daughter".

Hunter missed the mark with The 47th Samurai; Night of Thunder is back on track. This is Bob The Nailer we all remember.

Don't miss this.

I saw that at Target the other day, almost picked it up but decided on "Protect and Defend" instead. Glad to hear that S.H. is back on track, I wasn't overly impressed with "The 47th..." or "Havana"

Just got through reading it. Liked it a lot. Got it from my local library in hardcover.

Bob Lee Swagger, Jack Reacher and Repairman Jack are my all time fictional hereos. I usually can't wait for the next of their books to come out.

Thanks, Captain. yup, the 47th samurai was not quite the flavor of the Bob's series. Looking forward to reading this.

I actually like Hunter's Earle Swagger's series. who do you guys think is tougher... bob or earle? Those Iwo Jima Marines are no joke.

Ron, do you know about this guy named Mitch Rapp? might worth checking him out (Vince Flynn is the author).

Sounds like he wrote a book about Memphis. I don't have to read it, I live it every day.

At my suggestion, my wife ordered me a copy for my birthday which was prior to the regular release date. I finished it reading it in a couple of settings. It was a real page turner.

Then, last week, we ended up going by the Bristol Speedway just to look it over and that really brought the book to life! One of Hunter's best!
