Combat handguns is great, I used to buy in the supermarket and make sure it lay on top, love watching the sheep squirm, although had a few guys say "cool" now get it in the mail to save money.

Surplus Firearms is wonderful, I love the spread on old firearms.

Shotgun news is good bang for the buck, although I am sure lots of duck hunters wonder way they almost always have an AR on the cover!!

+1 on SWAT. You don't have to be an Operator to learn TONS from the articles. One of the few mags that actually has articles on Mindset.

I enjoy American Handgunner and Combat Handguns, and Surefire's Combat Tactics (only published ocassionally). I also like Concealed Carry Magazine - available online as well.

Another vote for SWAT here. Good balance oh handgun, carbine and shotgun stuff. Great reviews and articles.

Another vote for American Handgunner. Though I wish they'd publish every month.

As for Combat Handguns, I've only purchased one issue and it seems very biased toward 1911s. I also have a problem with them calling $2000+ handguns "affordable" in the issue that I read.
