About every 12 months I browse real quick to see if there's any content and nope, just the NRA going through its usual course of whining plus some articles about stuff of no interest to me. No better or worse than any other gun magazine, but every bit a waste of natural resources.
Next month check out the Armed Citizen page before throwing it away. It's a monthly collection of news stories from around the country where an armed citizen had to defend themself with a firearm. It's always right at the beginning of the magazine after the table of contents. It's usually page 8. I always read this as soon as the magazine comes in the mail. I read the rest of the mag later if I get around to it and sometimes I don't.

Some of the articles are interesting, and I'll usually read at least one a month, but in the latest there is an article on the Dodge Ram Pickup! My thought was WTH? If I want auto reviews I'll get Motor Trend!

For those that don't like the American Rifleman, why don't you change to one of the other Magazines, You may find one of them more informative. I get America's 1st Freedom and have found it very informitive. Or you could try American hunter.

Between the advertisements and the continual begging for more money, there's not much room for good reading left.

I wondered about that too, but then I got thinking. They probably got paid for that article and if Dodge thinks that AR has a wide enough subscription base to warrant advertising in it and they aren't worried about ticking off the anti's for supporting a gun mag then it's a good thing.

Plus, if you think about it, there probably is a correlation between gun owners and truck owners. It's not like they were reviewing the new 911.

Now, back to the original post, it seems a little thinner, but not much. But has anyone else noticed it seems to be coming later in the month?
