TN restaurant carry law related...Nikki Goeser, in her own words

Quote:

On 14 July, a Tennessee state law will go into effect allowing registered gun holders to carry loaded guns into bars and restaurants.

Nikki Goeser is one resident of Nashville who supports the measure.

She feels she could have stopped her husband's murder had she been allowed to carry her gun into the bar where he was killed.
This is a short but very good video of a fellow TFA (Tennessee Firearms Association) member speaking about the tragedy that she has gone through and how she supports the new law allowing those of us in TN to carry in establishments that also happen to serve alcohol.

The video can be seen HERE

My son and I went to Hueys in Cordova this evening as we have many, many times before. To my dismay, posted on both doors, was the NO HANDGUNS sign with the legal stuff written under the picture.
I wasn't about to walk back to the truck to disarm. Instead, we drove down the way to Chili's.

I just happened to be wearing a Supertuck with a fairly large t-shirt so I am quite sure my P220 would have been undetected should I have chosen to enter but I just didn't think it was worth it. I damn sure like the occasional Huey burger, tho....

Before coming to the sandbox along with my sidearm I always carried some business card sized "NO GUNS=NO MONEY" cards for such occasions. Not doing business with posted businesses is great, just let them know it.
