In the far reaches: 5 1/2" SS Vaquero 45C w/300 gr moly hard cast in Bianchi shoulder rig with retention strap.
In the MN woods: 2 1/2" Titanium Taurus 41 mag w/250gr Federal Cast Core on the belt w/thumb snap retention. Constant companion: Nickel Series 80 CC w/trijicon & laser grips w/230 gr Hydra-Shoks in open top IWBs. Stealth occasions and backup: P3-AT or Guardian 380 w/95gr FMJ inside the pocket holster. Xtra Mag, blade, light, and running shoes (but don't ask me to do the dash) My Series 70 Gold Cup has retired to the house gun. The 7 1/4" fluted High Standard .22 restores my confidence from time to time. Been having fun lately with Harpers Ferry .58 cal flintlock w/10" rifled barrel :)

I carry in my LE job, a Sig P229 .40 S&W in a Galco holster and a spare magazine; the magazines are loaded with Speer Gold Dot 165 grain JHP.
Primary off-duty gun: Kahr P9 Covert in a HBE Specialty Leatherworks COM "2-1/2" IWB holster. Primary BUG: Kahr PM9 in a Grandfather Oak Pocket Companion XL kydex pocket holster. -- Both guns are loaded with Speer standard pressure Gold Dot 124 grain JHPs. Further, I will carry one or two seven round magazines. I like this combo since it allows me to carry two guns with the same manual-of-arms and magazines. Secondary off-duty gun: Steyr S40 in either a Highnoon Holster belt slide or Galco Concealable (made for the HK USP Compact) holsters. I carry this gun with a spare 12 round magazine made for the Steyr M40. I carry this gun when I wear a sweater or jacket off-duty during FL's "cooler" days in the year. Secondary BUG: Kel Tec P3AT in a Grandfather Oak Pocket Companion kydex pocket holster and a spare magazine; loaded with Corbon 90 grain +P JHPs. Other weapons I sometimes carry: - Kimber Combat Carry 1911 in .45 ACP - Beretta MiniCougar 8045D in .45 ACP - Beretta 92FC Type M in 9mm |
