45 compact unless deep concealment is a necessity.

There is a benefit to having that 9mm. Its much cheaper to shoot and chances are you will shoot it more often and be much more proficient at it.

(There are conversion barrels available to change a .40 or .357Sig to a 9mm, but not the other way.)
