Snubbies and revolvers in general require a different mindset and self defense philosophy. You probably don't have that mindset. Nothing wrong with that, different folks have different ideas, makes the world go around.

A little carry setup. Model 60 with Galco pocket holster, and Tagua belt scabbard.

Just a quick question:

I have a S&W 642 and the same Safariland Comp-1 speedloader you have; however, when I try to use the speedloader it rubs against the stock rubber grips, thus not allowing the cartridges to fully enter the chambers. It's frustrating because I expected it to work... but it doesn't.

Did you have a similar experience with yours?

When I first started CCW I didnt think the revolvers were worth much and just relegated them to oldtimers and security guards. Now I have matured quite a bit in my knowledge and preferences of SD weapons and totally understand a Pocket revos role in CC. I will have one eventually.

yes i have the same problem, I just give it a lil shove and the spring pops and im loaded....the contact is small and only rub on the grips for half a second....

I will be looking at slimmer wood grips to help resolve this, and fro looks as well...

Old school and new school S&W protection. The one in the box was used by an uncle to guard his store in a small Virginia town around the turn of the (last) century.

Here is the newest addition. My father came to visit this weekend and he brought me a couple of gifts. The one that fits in this thread is this well carried Detective Special that he carried for 20+ years as a bug on the Columbus Police Dept. (eventually as a detective ).
