Others have mentioned the Uncle Mike's pocket holsters. Their size 1 Sidekick works well. It should be around $10 and stays in your pocket when you draw.

You'll be happy with the KT P3AT, easy to carry in cargo pants, or "loose" fit Levi's. I did the "F&B" before going to the range and never had a FTF or FTE. Mine is loaded with Speer Gold Dot's and feeds fine. Not a range gun though. My PF9 is still at the shop getting fixed...hope it comes home soon.

Smileys
The Kel Tecs and the LCPs have the same small problem. The rounds in the magazine slam forward under recoil and get a strike from the frame and feed ramp. When you shoot it, stop mid-magazine and pop a round out of the chamber and you'll see why it's known as a "Smiley". With FMJ it can seat the bullet into the case, with JHP it typically deforms the hollow point. Consider taking it to a gunsmith familiar with the design or do a little bit of research and get out the Dremel.
Not knocking the designs, most of the people I work with carry a KT .380, my constant backup is a KT .32 and has been for only a decade or so. I still have the same old worn out Uncle Mike's pocket holster, too.The favorite ammo for the .380 seems to be the Gold Saber. I carry Cor Bon in my .32. |

The recoil of the P3-AT is quite unfriendly. |

Did you look at the NAA Guardians? I love my 380 and 32 acp Guardian, little difference between the two when fored out of a sub 2" barrel.
Also for ammo check out the Buffalo Bore Gold Dots, they have better ballistics than a 38 Hydra Shok!!! Probably the best SD 380 round out there. I tossed my HydraShoks for them!! NCH

That gun has a good reputation at my local gunstore, my dad recently just purchased a PF9 and was considering buying me the P3AT or the PF9. We like the PF9 after shooting it and thats probably what i'll end up with until I get a G26 when I get out of nursing school. Not that I really need a Glock, I just want to be part of the koolaid club lol , I'll probably end up with a G19 before the 26 though. One thing with the Kel-tec PF9. The magazine release comes in plastic, after the first shot you fire the magazine will drop out. Kel-tec had a recall on it, contact them and they will send you a metal one that anybody can install (install time was 5 minutes).

You will like it. I have had the .389 for about 6 months and have put about 900 rounds thru it. It works. Before this I carried the KT .32 (still have it) since 1999. It worked great with the proper lenght round. I have the NAA Guardian .32. It's a heavier gun but felt recoil is great than either KT. For some reason the trigger guard hits my knuckle and it starts to really hurt after 4 or 5 rounds. The KT seems to have a softer recoil and has not give me any failures (so far). Break it in with 300+ rounds, keep it clean, and practice with it .
