Go for it. Great price for an excellent little pistol. Trigger is smoooooth. Gun is remarkably accurate for a short barrel semi-auto.

I found a new EMP 9mm at a gun show. Fit my hand like a glove. I want a 40 cal though.

Yes A gun should never do that. They should be taken in and used properly. If he needs Help just Call . LOL

The one knock on the gun I have is the ambi safety. It doesn't take a lot of pressure to disengage the safety while wearing it. It is one of my favorite carry guns, but I am going back to carrying my p7m8 until I get the ambi safety removed, and the safety tension adjusted.

The price you quoted is a decent price btw
The "soft safety" I think was one of the issues with some of the early EMPs.
Mine is Ser# 33* (just three digits), and I sent it back due to some FTF's, but I was also really scared of the soft safety that could be switched off very easily and accidentally.

When I got it back from Springfield, it ran like a Singer sewing machine and I couldn't make it FTF no matter what ammo I used.
Plus, the safety then had that really nice, positive "click" that I got used to with my Colt 1911's.
So once Springfield gave it a onceover, my EMP became a "you'll get it when you pry it from my cold, dead hands" sort of pistol.
In fact, I hate to carry it very much, specifically because it's so pretty that I don't want to put too much holster wear on it.
But I do carry it...

You need to buy it. ..... that's a great price. I saw prices from $1050 - $1350 when I was looking for one this summer.

Now, mine was horrible when I first got it , in that every shot was a FTE. Numerous shots, and it didn't get better. I have not heard of anyone else having but great experiences with them, yeah... had to be the one I got. Talked to Springfield, they paid for shipping & emailed me a label, sent it... and it was back within 7 days.

Holy Cow, it was like a new gun. I love it. Smooooth, operates great, very accurate, and a great gun, easy to conceal, etc. So, even if something is wrong.... talk to Springfield, and they will take care of you. They were extremely good to deal with.

You won't regret it.

Now to look for a new holster for her...she's thinking that she would like to try AIWB. Any uggestions for this gun in an AIWB...I was thinking Comp-Tac 2 O'Clock maybe...or Fist #1...decisions decisions

I would let her decide what position conceals on her the best, is comfortable and that she can draw from quickly and get sites on target smoothly

yep agreed, that's what she's planning to do...she wants to try both AIWB and OWB 3:00-3:30 holsters to see what she likes.
