i just sent my EMP back to SA yesterday for the same problems. The slide would not lock open either.
Does anybody know what they do to fix this? I'm sure it will be fine when I get it back.
This is the second CC gun I've gotten that hasn't worked out. My first was a Kimber Ultra II. Nice gun, shoots great everytime. But it has checkering under the trigger guard that would grip my holster. I had to use two hands to pull it out of my holster.

Yes, mine did that too, and had 2 misfires.

They polish the slide, adjust, and then will "tune the extractor" as they put it. When I got mine back, they had obviously worked & polished the slide because it was so smooth, and so much easier to operate, it locks right open with no issue at all, and shoots with no issues as well. When it extracts.... LMAO... it extracts...... it is like a whole different gun. No issues at all now, it's operates great.

I have to also say, Springfield was good to deal with it and it all went very well.

Post or PM me, interested in knowing what you think when you get it back.

I ran into one about three weeks ago for 999. This was after I had been told by another local gun shop they couldn't get hold of one anytime soon at any price. I went home, thought about it for an hour, went back and bought it. No regrets. It's a beautiful weapon.
