Need DA/SA small grip 9.

Back in December, my sweety asked me to leave her a pistol, and we wound up getting her a Ruger SP101. Her carpel has made it hard to shoot. I want her to shoot DA every shot, she has never cocked it.

Now I'm thinking a small grip frame DA first shot, SA following shot pistol may work. I would like 9mm for recoil, and US made is a huge plus. She is a small gal, so high mass, small frame guns work well. This is a house gun, so size matters less.

What say you?

If you want DA/SA, why not just SA all the time, like a Glock-26?
My wife had trouble racking the slide on a KelTec, but when she switched to a Glock-26 (and with a little coordination instruction) she found the Glock (not U.S. made, I know) quite easy to operate.
Just wondering...

Ruger P series? DA 1st shot, SA there after. 15+1 of 9mm. Don't know what it considered small but it fits my hands a lot better than my xd45 does

S&W 3913, but they are hard to find. In the last two years, I've only seen two for sale locally, and they didn't last long.

It's DA/SA, 9mm, made in the USA, and the grip is very small. The trigger, even in DA, is much easier to pull than my SP-101. The 3913 has a good reputation for being dependable and easy to carry.

It is 8+1, but to get higher capacity, it would soon require a double-stack and thus a much thicker grip. Although 8+1 may not seem like a lot compared to some, that is almost double the SP-101's capacity.

I have one, not for sale, but I'd be willing to let her hold and shoot it to see if she likes it. I'll be passing through KS Tuesday early evening if you all are interested in trying it out.

+1. Grady's right though, they are hard to find at a decent price.

I don't know if you could find a S&W 99c in 9mm, but it might do the job for you.
It is DA/SA, reasonable in size, 9 mm.

Smile

My wife has a Taurus PT111 Millenium Pro in 9 mm and really likes it. I know that there are Taurus haters out there, but we have had no issues with the three that we own. I have the 24/7 Pro C in 45 cal.
